PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit large torque while sufficiently absorbing a torque fluctuation. SOLUTION: In this torque transmission device, a tip side 14c of a damper 14 is formed in a taper shape to form a gap 15 on the tip side 14c. When a relative rotation angleθ(transmission torque) of a pulley body 11 relatively to a center hub 13 is small, a deformation freedom degree of the damper 14 is increased to reduce an elastic modulus k (a change rate of the transmission torque to the relative rotation angleθ) by compressively deforming the damper 14 such that the gap 15 is filled. When the relative rotation angleθ(the transmission torque) becomes large, the damper 14 is compressively deformed in a restricting state of increase in a cross section. Thereby, because a characteristic of the damper 14 can become nonlinear, the large torque can be transmitted with sufficiently absorbing the torque fluctuation.
