PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humectant composition and a cosmetic including the composition having improved moisture retaining property such as enhancing the moisture retaining property to manifest a sufficient barrier property. SOLUTION: This humectant composition and the cosmetic including the composition includes 1) hyaluronic acid and/or its salt, 2) chondroitin sulfuric acid and/or its salt and 3) collagen and/or its derivative.
