PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscopic apparatus of a box type having excellent operability and observation environment. SOLUTION: A supporting member (11) which supports a sample (10A), first optical systems (17a, 17b, 14a and 14b) which form images of portions of regions on the sample, a first image pickup means (18) which photoelectrically detects the images formed by the first optical systems, a second optical system (17c) which forms the image over the entire part on the sample and a second image pickup means (18) which photoelectrically detects the image over the entire part formed by the second optical system (17c) are housed into casings (10a, 10d, 10c, 20a and 30a). Since the apparatus is provided with the optical system (second optical system) to be exclusively used for acquiring the image over the entire part, the image over the entire part is rapidly acquired.
