PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device characterized by that although the opening/closing operation of an opening/closing cover is associated with the pressing and releasing between two rollers of a fixing device, the opening/ closing cover is less loaded by the association, made low-cost and placed in simple opening/closing operation with a small force. SOLUTION: The load of the energizing force of a spring 37 transmitted to a link member 39 which moves a pressure roller 27 to a press-contacting/ release position by pushing a direct-acting rod 38 through an operation rod 46 and swinging a roller support member 36 against the energizing force of the spring 37 is received by a support plate 40 engaged with the link member 39 and not transmitted to a connecting rod 41 which has one end coupled with a top cover 31 and the other end coupled with the support plate 40.
