PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate manpower by fixing two inventive cursors to a planar scale.rod such that one cursor can fix a pin to a zero position and the other cursor can fix a pin to a measuring position, and to enhance measurement accuracy by keeping the rod at right angle with the cursor constantly. SOLUTION: The metallic or nonmetallic scale.rod has such a structure as spaces 1 and 2 for fixing the planar scale.rod to a cursor are provided, through holes for inserting a pin 3 are made above and below the cursor and the cursor is secured in a screw hole 4 at a measuring position.
