PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily improve the luminance of control buttons of a display on which characters and symbols are displayed by illumination with high reliability. SOLUTION: An illuminated display 1 is mainly composed of operation buttons 20 and 30 that are inserted into a main body cover 10 from the bottom and have display parts 20a and 30a on which illuminated characters and symbols are displayed, LEDs 50 which constitute light emitting sources to illuminate the parts 20a and 30a, and a light guide plate 40 which is integrally constituted to guide light beams from the LEDs 50 to the respective sections 20a and 30a. A tip part 41a of a projected part 41, which is projected from the top surface of the plate 40, is arranged so that the part 41a is projected into a recessed part 30d of the button 30. The position of the top surface of the part 41a facing the section 30a is arranged to come close to the back surface of the section 30a.
