The invention relates to a rotary piston engine comprising three or four rotary pistons, each rotating about a fixed central rotational axis and during said rotation rolling off the external contour of the respective neighbouring rotary piston, thus delimiting between them a compression chamber whose area alters with the piston rotation. Said compression chamber is sealed in an axial direction by housing covers that enclose the rotary pistons in a sandwich-type manner. |
