PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat for a vehicle sufficiently protecting a rear seat occupant even when the occupant is brought into contact with an end part or a rear part of a seat frame or a collision occurs by a method wherein a cover material consisting of a stereostructually woven knit is made to be curved and tensely fixed in up-and-down and right-and-left directions being conformed to curves of the seat frame. SOLUTION: The seat frame 21 is formed into an approximately-V sectional area opening rearward. A retaining part 22 is formed on an outside end part 24a of the seat frame. The cover material 25 is formed from the stereostructually woven knit comprising surface base cloth 26 and back base cloth 27, both of which consist of upper and back sides of a woven knit, and a middle layer 28 with elasticity. One end part 31a of a trim material 31 and a hook member 33 are fixed on an end part 25a of the cover material. The hook member is retained to a retaining part 22 of an outside end part 24a. The other end part 31b of the trim material is retained to an inside end part 24b of the seat frame in a state where a rear opening part 21e of the seat frame is closed.
