PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the technique of indicating a temperature characteristic code of an electronic component typified by crystal oscillators, etc., to thereby certainly recognize information about coefficients of an approximate equation. SOLUTION: The frequency deviation of a crystal oscillator being driven in an atmosphere of 75 deg.C is measured, the value thereof is coded to determine a first indication code as information about a first order coefficient a1. Second indication codes are obtained as indicating the correlations of the first order coefficient a1 with a second order coefficient a2, the first order coefficient a1 with a third order coefficient a3, the second order coefficient a2 with a fourth order coefficient a4 and the third order coefficient a3 with a fifth order coefficient a5. The first indication code and the second indication codes are arranged in sequence to form a temperature characteristic code and this code is indicated on the crystal oscillator surface. |
