<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a resource utilized by a band reservation in a network providing inter-point communication more than the case of reserving a band in the unit of paths not considering sharing through the use of a conventional technology. SOLUTION: The shared band assignment method is for a network system which has a point connection network configured with a plurality of nodes each having a packet switch and has a plurality of user points connected to the nodes through an access channel and each consisting of a host or a network. The method comprises calculating an access channel band interconnecting the user point and the point connection network as a minimum band so as to be necessary and sufficient for interconnection between the user point and other user point when the user point is connected to the other user point via the point connection network as to the user points, and assigning the band to the nodes on the basis of the calculated band.</p> |
