<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state image pickup device that can extract a black/ white image as well as a color image with high sensitivity at high speed. SOLUTION: The solid-state image pickup device is provided with 1st, 2nd, 3rd pixel arrays 11, 21, 31 having blue, green, red filters, 1st, 2nd, 3rd CCD registers 13, 23, 33 that transfer signal charges generated in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd pixel arrays 11, 21, 31 respectively, a 4th pixel array 41 having no color filter and to which transfer gates are provided alternately reversely for each pixel, 4th and 5th CCD registers 43, 45 that transfer signal charges of odd number and even number bits of the 4th pixel array respectively, a 1st selection output means 51 that provides an output of the 1st to 3rd CCD registers or an output of the 4th register, and a 2nd selection output means 52 that provides the other output of the 1st to 3rd CCD registers of an output of the 5th register.</p> |
