PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication connector assembly having crosstalk compensation. SOLUTION: Many compensation connecting contacts such as conductive pads, rigid wires, or metal plates are mounted on the front edge region of a wiring plate for supporting many terminal contact wires. A compensation element related to the wiring plate is connected to a contact, and selected so as to produce a capacitive crosstalk compensation coupling, for example. The terminal contact wires have a connecting part for contacting with a corresponding terminal of an engaging counter connector along a line of the contact. The loose ends of the contact wires are positioned in the front of the line of the contact, and formed so that the play ends bend toward the wiring plate and connect to the compensation coupling contact on the wiring plate in being engaged with the engaging counter connector. Therefore, the compensation coupling is effective on the line of the contact with the engaging counter connector. This assembly is built in a modular jack connector. |
