PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the directivity of a plurality of antenna elements toward a desired wave direction, where a terminal station to next communicate with is located, in a short time and further to attain miniaturization of a system. SOLUTION: This system is provided with first and second weighting means 15 and 16 which are connected to a plurality of antenna elements 11a-11n, and weighting the phase and amplitude of respective signals received by these antenna elements, adding means 21 and 19 which are connected to these weighting processing means, respectively and adds weighted signals, a arriving wave direction detecting part 20 detecting an arriving wave direction from the output of the adding means 19 and a control part 17 setting a weighting coefficient to the first weighting processing means 15 by making a weighting coefficient calculating part 18 calculate the weighting coefficient of the amplitude and the phase on the basis of the information of the arriving wave direction from the arriving wave direction detecting part, the weighting coefficient for forming a pattern for detecting the arriving wave direction is set to the second weighting processing means 16, and the direction of an arriving wave including a desired wave or undesired wave is detected by the arriving wave direction detecting part.
