PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for connecting of a flexible printed board and a connecting method for the flexible printed board, capable of inexpensively, simply, and surly connecting terminals of the flexible printed boards. SOLUTION: A connector housing 10 has a first projection 14 installed in an upper inner wall 11a of a terminal part housing 11 for housing the terminal part of an FPC on the inside. A retainer 20 is equipped with an insertion fixing plate 22; a second projection streak 23 formed on the top surface 22a of the insertion fixing plate 22; an oblong hole 24; and a connecting part 25 connecting the oblong hole 24 and the insertion fixing plate 22. The terminal part 303 in such a state that conductor wires 101, 201 inserted in the terminal housing 11 are put together so as to contact each other is interposed between the lower surface and the upper surface of the first and second projection streaks 14, 23 in the thickness direction of the terminal part 303, and the conductor wires 101, 201 are connected by crimping.
