PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device wherein a part having possibility of showing undesired display due to power addition is concealed. SOLUTION: In a transparent substrate 2, a concealing film 4 having insulation property is provided in a part other than a display part and a light transmissive resin layer 5 is provided in the display part. A transparent electrode 9 is disposed on the layer consisting of the concealing film 4 and the light transmissive resin layer 5. Also in a transparent substrate 3, a transparent electrode 10 is disposed on a light absorption layer 12.
