PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball joint having high sealability without reducing an adhesive degree of a calking part. SOLUTION: The ball joint comprises a ball stud comprising a spherical head part and a grasp part projected from the spherical head; a bearing rockably and turnably covering and supporting the spherical head part of the ball stud; a housing covering the bearing and having a housing small opening for projecting the grasp part of the ball stud on one side and a housing large opening on the other side; and a close plate calking-fixed to an inner periphery of the housing large opening of the housing. In the ball joint, the close plate comprises a disc-like base plate and a projection part projected from an outer periphery surface of the plate to the opposite housing small opening side. A calking part of the housing is formed by calking-fixing the close plate in the state that the housing is abutted to an inner periphery surface of the projection part of the close plate and an end surface.
