The heat sink has at least one heat exchanger (41) which is thermally coupled to the heat generating electronic components (3) and a second heat exchanger (51) for convective transfer of heat to the outside environment. Both heat exchangers and the lines (52,53,54) between them form a hermetically-sealed heat sink circuit filled with a cooling medium exhibiting a continuous phase transition, the first heat exchanger acting as an evaporator and the second heat exchanger acting as a condenser.
