NON-LINEAR DISTORTION COMPENSATION CIRCUIT AND METHOD

PURPOSE: A non-linear distortion compensation circuit and a method thereof are provided to compensate for a non-linear distortion generated by a high power amplification even though a characteristic of a high power amplifier is changed. CONSTITUTION: A distortion sampling section samples a non-linear distortion component from a non-linear high output amplified modulation signal. An attenuator(13) attenuates the non-linear high output amplified modulation signal. A subtracter(14) subtracts a modulation signal prior to a non-linear high output amplification from an output signal of the attenuator(13). An orthogonal demodulator(15) orthogonal-demodulates the non-linear distortion sampled by the distortion sampling section to a base band area. A distortion superposed section(16,17) superposes a distortion component of an inverse phase of the distortion component in the base band area from the orthogonal demodulator(15).
