A simple toilet device (10) comprising an excretion processing tank (12) containing chips (31) carrying microorganisms decomposing and removing excretion, a stirring vane (13) disposed in the excretion processing tank (12) for stirring loaded excretion and chips (31), a rotation-driving means (13A) for rotating the stirring vane (13), and a controller (16A) for controlling an electric system including the rotation-driving means 13A, the excretion processing tank (12) comprising an exhaust fan for discharging the air from the excretion processing tank (12), an intake fan for blowing air into the chips in the excretion processing tank (12), a humidity regulating means (15) for humidifying the chips (31) in the excretion processing tank (12), and a heater (14) for heating the chips (31) to an appropriate temperature, the stirring vane (13) being in a volute form adapted to stir the received chips (31) to move them upward from the bottom while producing circulation currents inwardly drawing excretion loaded in the middle region. Thus, the simple toilet device can be comfortably used, capable of efficiently processing excretion without any trouble, and removing odor.
