PURPOSE: A temperature display apparatus for air conditioner is provided to achieve a user convenience by allowing user to easily recognize the difference between the indoor temperature and desired temperature, while obtaining an aesthetic enhancement. CONSTITUTION: A temperature display apparatus comprises an indoor temperature sensor(2) installed to an indoor unit and which detects the current indoor temperature; a control unit(4) for receiving, from the indoor temperature sensor, an electrical signal indicating the result of detection of indoor temperature, and comparing the received signal with a preset desired temperature; a numerical display unit(6) for displaying, in digits, the difference between the indoor temperature and desired temperature in accordance with the signal applied from the control unit; and a color display unit(8) for displaying, in color, the difference between the indoor temperature and desired temperature in accordance with the signal applied from the control unit.
