The tester for motor vehicle restrain releases has a simulator (2) attachable to the release control (1) to give a preset condition. A drive accelerates the control and a detector (3) senses the release condition of the restraint under acceleration. A circuit evaluates the operation of the release. The tester can have a personal computer to program the control.
