PURPOSE: A piston for swash plate compressor is provided to achieve improved lubricating effect and prevent noise by forming a lubricating groove at the bridge of piston. CONSTITUTION: A piston(100) reciprocating in a linear manner along with the rotating motion of a swash plate within a cylinder bore of a swash plate compressor, comprises a pair of cylindrical heads(10,10') arranged at both ends of the piston; a bridge(13) interconnecting both heads; and a pair of shoe pocket bosses(12,12') having shoe pockets(12a,12a'), and which are formed inward from the heads. The bridge has one or more lubricating grooves(P) for supplying lubricating oil into a gap formed between the swash plate and the piston. The bridge has a curved groove(13a) filled with a lubricating oil, so as to improve lubricating force between the outer surface of the swash plate and the bridge.
