The device has a extruded aluminum profile bearer guide housing (1) with a guide rail (2) for a carriage (3) movably supported on roller bodies, a drive in the housing with an electric motor with part in the housing and part in the carriage and a rustproof magnetic steel strip (8) covering a longitudinal opening. The motor part in the carriage is a primary part (6); that in the housing is a secondary part (7) directly attached to the guide rail.
