PURPOSE: A reflection plate, a reflection type liquid crystal display apparatus, and a method of manufacturing the same are provided to make the light inputted from a light source reflected and diffused in a given direction of an observe and to obtain a bright display. CONSTITUTION: In a reflection type liquid crystal display apparatus(10), the light inputted from a light source such as a fluorescent light or the sun light is reflected and diffused in a preferably given direction of an observer. Thus, a bright display is obtained. A reflection plate(20) being patterned with concave and convex shapes arranged to optimize the reflected and diffused light with respect to the input light direction, the observer direction, and the position of the reflection plate.
