PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent collapse of a granulated powder plug by smoothly forming the granulated powder plug, and carrying it roughly under constant pressure and at constant speed, and restrict powdering of the granulated powder plug by reducing speed around an outlet of a transportation duct. SOLUTION: In this pneumatic transportation method for feeding granulated powder to be transported from a supply side pressure tank through a transportation duct 9 to a collecting tank 8 by air currents, a valve 6 for discharging powder between a buffer part 5 and the transportation duct 9 provided under the pressure tank 7 is closed, and pressure air is supplied to the buffer part 5 under the pressure tank 7 to form the single granulated powder plug A. The valve 6 for discharging powder is then released to feed the granulated powder plug A into the transportation duct 9, and the valve 6 for discharging powder is closed. Granulated powder carrying air is blown into the transportation duct 9, thereby the granulated powder plug A is moved through the transportation duct 9 to the collecting tank 8.
