PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time until positioning a workpiece from the time when automatically feeding it into a bending machine, by lessening a sag of the workpiece so as to improve processing efficiency. SOLUTION: The workpiece twisting machine of this invention is provided with a pair of clampers 6 and 7 which grip two mutually opposed sides (1) and (2) of the workpiece W, and a twisting section 8 which twists the workpiece W by turning only the clamper 6 of the pair of clampers 6 and 7.
