The bulb (5) has a mechanism formed on it for mounting a lamp shade (2) on it. Independent claims are also included for (a) a combination of the lamp (1) and a lamp shade, the latter comprising several components with peripheral ribs (12) or rib sections which can engage with grooves (8-10) in the bulb, and (b) a lamp with a bulb containing at least two light sources which can be switched on or off independently, one of which is a fluorescent tube, and one of the light sources are arranged so that they essentially do not hinder the light emitted from each other.
