PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide chopped strands in which chopped strands are not adhered to each other, and a resin composition capable of easily manufacturing the chopped strands capable of being uniformly mixed, having excellent dispersibility when blended in a phenol resin and improving a strength. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing the chopped strands comprises the steps of adding aluminum powder to the glass chopped strands immersed with dried phenol resin, and baking the added chopped strands.
