PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool provided with tool information through simple constitution without using an IC chip and a tool information reading system to stably read the tool information. SOLUTION: A seal on which a bar code 10 is printed is stuck on the upper end part of a taper shank part and tool information is applied on the bar code. A bar code reading device 11 is situated in the vicinity of the change arm taking out putting in position of an automatic tool changer and is caused to effect operation simultaneous with taking out pulling in operation of a revolving arm 13.
