SHADOW MASK FOR COLOR CATHODE RAY TUBE

摘要

PURPOSE: A shadow mask for a color cathode ray tube is provided to reduce a coefficient of thermal expansion of an aperture portion by reducing the amount of thermoelectrons landed on the aperture portion. CONSTITUTION: A shadow mask includes an aperture portion(52), an edge portion(53), and a main body(51) including a skirt portion. A plurality of electron beam passing holes(H) are formed on the aperture portion(52). The edge portion(53) is extended from an edge of the aperture portion(52). The skirt portion is vertically bent from the edge portion(53). The electron beam passing holes(H) have patterns of a stripe type or patterns of a dot type. An insulating layer as a nonconductor is formed on an inner face of the main body(51). The thickness of the insulating layer is 0.5 to 20 micro meter.
