PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate use of a short ring by a copper plate of an insulating converter transformer PIT. SOLUTION: In a switching power circuit by a complex-resonant converter circuit, converter operation is set so as to be synchronized with a horizontal synchronizing signal used in a cathode-ray tube display, thereby eliminating the generation of power beats caused by interference of leakage flux of the converter transformer with the horizontal synchronizing signal. The use of the short ring with the copper plate for shielding the leakage flux can be dispensed with.
