PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a battery electrode plate for preventing a collecting core material from being cut at a boundary between the application starting end of an electrode mix portion and a non-applied portion. SOLUTION: An active material is intermittently applied to one face 1a of the collecting core material 1 and dried until it is solidified to form the electrode mix portion 2. The active material is intermittently applied to the other face 1b of the collecting core material 1 in the state of setting an application starting position to be 1-5 mm apart from an application finishing end 2b of the electrode mix portion 2 on one face 1a to the application starting end 2a and an application finishing position to be 1-5 mm apart from the application starting end 2a of the electrode mix portion 2 on one face to a non-applied side, and dried until it is solidified to form the electrode mix portion 2. The boundary between the starting end of the electrode mix portion 2 and the non- applied portion is opposed to the finishing end of the electrode mix portion 2 on the opposite-side face so that the collecting core material 1 can be backed up at the mix application finishing end 2b.
