发明名称 POLYCRYSTAL-STRUCTURE FILM AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polycrystal-structure film which can minimize an imperfect non-magnetic area formed in a magnetic crystal layer as mush as possible, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The polycrystal-structure film has a base crystal layer constituted of a non-magnetic atom, that is Cr atom, that is, a Cr layer. On the surface of the base crystal layer a non-magnetic crystal layer such as Co65Cr35 layer is formed, and on the non-magnetic crystal layer a magnetic layer such as a Co88Pt12 layer is formed. When heat treatment is made, Cr atom diffuses along the grain boundary in the Co88Pt12 layer. The wall of a non-magnetic material is formed along the grain boundary. The diffusion of Cr atom is sufficiently restrained in the lattice of the magnetic grain. The formation of the imperfect non-magnetic area, therefore, can be avoided in the Co88Pt12 layer as much as possible. The noise can be reduced when magnetic information is read out.
