PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-electrode electric discharge light lighting equipment which is improved in user's usability while being improved in starting performance, and can cut down useless energy consumption, when performing starting and re-starting of the non-electrode electric discharge lamp under dimmer controlling. SOLUTION: The non-electrode electric discharge lamp lighting equipment consists of a direct-current power supply circuit 1, a high frequency power supply circuit 2 which outputs high frequency voltage, an induction coil 4 with which high frequency electric power is impressed, the non-electrode electric discharge lamp 5 arranged in the vicinity of the induction coil 4, and a dimmer circuit 6 which controls dimmer of the lamp by time-sharing the output of the high frequency power supply circuit 2. Moreover, a preliminary driving means 15 which permits to output the dimmer control signal after outputting continuously the drive signal which drives the high frequency power supply circuit 2 for a long time longer enough than one cycle of the dimmer controlling signal, during the period that until the non-electrode electric discharge lamp 5 lights up, when the non-electrode electric discharge lamp 5 lighting, in a case that a stop period of the dimmer controlling signal given to the high frequency power supply circuit 2 continues for a long time longer than the one cycle of the dimmer controlling signal. |
