PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize various expressions which utilize a display, while suppressing the capacity of a nonvolatile memory. SOLUTION: Plural kinds of character data which are equal in meaning by different in expressing forms are stored in a private memory card 32b. When the memory card is loaded to a slot 30 and a desired kind of the character data is selected by an operator, the selected character data is transmitted to the nonvolatile memory 26 from the card 32b by a CPU 28. A display 24 displays a menu picture, based on the character data stored in the card 32b and the operator performs the changing operation of photographing setting with a 'cross' key 42 and a set key 40, by referring to the displayed menu picture. |
