PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping motor which maintains its torque output and the like and reduces cogging and vibration with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The stepping motor is constituted of a stator unit 5 which integrates by piling two pieces, each of which is constituted by inserting a coil 8 which is made by winding magnet wire on a bobbin 6 into stator yokes 9, 10 which respectively form a plurality of pole teeth 13 on the inner periphery and a rotor unit 19 which is disposed free to rotate having a prescribed gap with the plurality of pole teeth 13 and magnetizing its outer periphery multipolar. Multipole magnetization of the rotor unit 19 is made by alternately magnetizing S-pole and N-pole in the circumferential direction, making the pole width of a pair of S-pole and N-pole a preliminarily determined constant value and making the width of another pair of S-pole and N-pole respectively different each other.
