PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallized film capacitor which can improve the moisture resistance of a metallized film made of AL and Zn, suppress the reduction of capacity due to corrosion during conduction for a long time, as well as heat generation due to increased loss, and to keep stabilized quality. SOLUTION: This metallized film capacitor is formed, by providing a metallic vapor-deposited electrode on one side or both sides of a dielectric film, laminating or winding the metallized film, in which one end part in the direction of width of the dielectric film is formed of a low resistance part, having a resistance value lower than that of the metallized vapor-deposited electrode and the other end part is formed of non-metallic vapor-deposited part so that the resistance part and non-metallic vapor-deposited part face each other, in a pair of metallic vapor-deposited electrodes with the dielectric film being interposed in-between, in order to form a capacitor element, and by providing electrode lead-out parts to both end surfaces of the capacitor element. The metallic vapor-deposited part is made of an alloy of AL and Zn, and the content of aluminum becomes smaller at a range of 1 to 20%, in the direction from the non-metallic vapor-deposited part to the low resistance part.
