PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize a parts management system which can decrease the artificial man-hour regarding the change and disuse of parts by using information network technology. SOLUTION: This parts management system through which a product manufacturer manages parts information used for product manufacture is equipped with an information network system which allows respective departments regarding the product manufacture of the product manufacturer and parts suppliers to exchange electronic information and an information server which unifies and manages electronic information regarding the product manufacture, and the information server is equipped with a parts ordering means which orders parts to the parts suppliers through the information network, a parts disuse information receiving means which receives parts disuse information sent from the parts suppliers, an examination request information sending means which sends the parts disuse information and various examination request information regarding disused parts to the respective departments regarding the product manufactured by using the disused parts according to the parts disuse information, a stocked parts quantity computing means which manages and gathers result information sent back from the respective departments in response to the examination request information and computes the necessary quantities of disused parts in stock, and a stock component managing means which manages the components in stock. |
