PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor which enables holding of gas permeability thereof, while improving production efficiency by simplifying an assembling process of a type which functions by introducing atmospheric air. SOLUTION: A sealing unit 14 of an oxygen sensor 1 undergoes injection molding, with an air filter 50 previously arranged in a prescribed metal die and assembled integrally in a sealing member 15 at a molding stage thereof. The air filter 50 is arranged in the sealing member 15, protruding from an atmospheric air side opening part of a vent path, to eliminate the formation of a recessed part facing the side of the atmospheric air in the vent path of the sealing member 15, thereby restricting the accumulation of dust or the like on the surface on the side of the atmospheric air of the air filter 50. This achieves better holding of the gas permeability for the air filter 50. |
