PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device capable of easily inputting a melody having plural parts to the device, and preventing erroneous inputs by a comprehensible display picture. SOLUTION: The portable terminal device of this invention is provided with a control part capable of changing over from a 1st display picture displaying a melody of a selected part to a 2nd display picture displaying a melody of another part when receiving a change-over input, and is characterized in that the control part calculates the notes in the 2nd display picture positioned correspondingly to the highlighted notes in the 1st display picture, and displays the note highlighted.
