PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated storage and retrieval refrigerating warehouse with less power consumption. SOLUTION: In this automated storage and retrieval warehouse, a load storage part 9 is provided in a storage chamber 5, the load storage part 9 is formed by installing a front chain 33 and a rear chain 34 on a frame 10 and connecting a plurality of lever bodies 35 to the front chain 33 and the rear chain 34, and containers 36 having loads therein are detachably suspended from the lever bodies 35 and the front and rear chains 33 and 34 are driven to sequentially move the containers 36 to transfer position opposed to an openable opening part 7 communicating with the storage chamber 5 and a load handling chamber 6. A drive source 43 is installed in the load handling chamber 6 and connected to a rotating shaft 45 to drive the front and rear chains 33 and 34 through a power transmission part 44 so that heat is not transferred to the storage chamber and the load handling chamber 6 through the power transmission part 44. Thus, since the drive source 43 is not cooled by the cool air in the storage chamber 5, a power consumption of the refrigerating warehouse can be reduced.
