PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picking device capable of properly coping with the occurrence of a trouble. SOLUTION: This picking device 1 comprises an article storage means 11 having an opening part 10. The article storage means 11 comprises an article retrieval means 12 for retrieving the article A in storage through the opening part 10. The picking device 1 further comprises an article receiving means 13 for receiving the article A from the article retrieval means 12. The article receiving means 13 is formed so as to be moved close to and apart from the article storage means 11. A working space 65 can be provided between the article storage means 11 and the article receiving means 13.
