FUEL INJECTION CONTROLLER FOR CYLINDER INJECTION TYPE INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance idling stability while restraining worsening of exhaust emission under a cooled condition of an engine. SOLUTION: An electronic controller 40 controls a fuel injection valve 22 in response to an operation condition of the engine 10, to conduct switching between an intake stroke injection mode for executing fuel injection into a combustion chamber 15 in an intake stroke and a compression stroke injection mode for executing fuel injection into the chamber 15 in a compression stroke. The controller 40 sets the compression stroke injection mode when a water temperature is within a prescribed temperature range in start of the engine 10. The controller 40 changes fuel injection timing to a spark advance side in response to temperature elevation of the engine, in compression stroke injection therein.
