PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive for polymers which improves the lowering in the printability of molded articles to be caused in its use in the additive for polymers capable of imparting rigidity, heat resistance, dimension stability, flame retardance, gas barrier properties and the like to the molded articles. SOLUTION: A lamellar inorganic compound having an amount of impurities of less than 3 wt.% is added to a polymer to form molded articles.
