<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the prevention of a particulate filter from regenerated during its regeneration. SOLUTION: In this exhaust emission control device of an internal combustion engine, a particulate filter 22 is arranged in an exhaust port 10, unburned HC is supplied into the particulate filter 22 from an internal combustion engine body 1 when exhaust gas temperature is lower than low temperature oxidizing reaction temperature, thereafter not only the exhaust gas temperature is raised up to the temperature exceeding the low temperature oxidizing reaction temperature but also the unburned HC is, in principal, prohibited to supply to the particulate filter 22 and the unburned HC is avoided to change into soot before reaching the particulate filter in the raised temperature exhausted gas.</p> |
