A bypass (50) around the compressor/turbo charger (20) has a valve (60) to open and close it. Valve and/or bypass contain an acoustic element (70). This is formed by a resonance chamber, closed on one side, and positioned in or at an angle to a feed pipe (51) to the valve. The resonance chamber can be adapted to an installation site, in its geometric positioning in the feed pipe, esp. regarding the relative angle, and shaping of the chamber.
