PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make readily movable a moving member and make reducible the production cost in a spool braking device of a double bearing reel. SOLUTION: The spool braking mechanism 23 of the double bearing reel is a mechanism for braking the rotation of a spool 12 freely rotatably mounted on a reel body 1 of the double bearing reel and is equipped with plural conductors 50, plural magnetic materials 51 and a braking force regulating part 52. The plural conductors 50 are rotated interlockingly with the spool 12. The plural magnetic materials 51 are provided in the reel body so as to be opposable to the plural conductors 50 and are capable of braking the rotation of the spool 12 by making a magnetic force act on the conductors 50. The braking force regulating part 52 is capable of moving the plural conductors 50 according to a centrifugal force produced by the rotation of the spool 12 at least in the radial direction of the spool 12 to change the magnetic force acting on the conductors 50.
