<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embody a method, which can be efficiently and quickly executed and with which a high quality duplication on surface structure and constitution can be realized. SOLUTION: In the method and device for manufacturing a cylindrical embossed sheet to be fixed onto a rotating clamping cylinder for producing a continuous web having a surface structure for an engineering on safety and reliability or a surface structure for decoration, a plate-like starting material is bent especially about an cylindrical auxiliary implement having a diameter nearly corresponding to that of the clamping cylinder. In addition, the longitudinal edge parts of the plate-like starting material are prepared to be tightly fixed together by flush joint when the starting material is put about the auxiliary implement so as to fix the plate-like material to this position in order to weld gapless the longitudinal edge parts by laser beam.</p> |
