PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly keep the fermentation temperature of a garbage disposer and remove excess moisture to increase the fermentation rate. SOLUTION: Electric current is applied to garbage and thereby its appropriate temperature is kept by installing electrodes 3 and 4 on the internal face of a fermentation tank 1 and applying voltage between the electrodes 3 and 4. When direct current voltage is applied, oxygen to be generated from an anode is used for promoting the fermentation and condensate is allowed to flow down the wall surface of the outer part of the fermentation tank 1 or the electrodes 3 and 4 and discharged to the outside, with the help of a spacer.
