PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a high speed response and high output. SOLUTION: This muscular strength training-evaluating device is provided with a movable body 11 operating by operation input imparted to an operation part 22 by a muscular strength trainee, a load generating means 1 applying a load to a movement of the movable body 11 by a magnetic viscous fluid 4 changing viscosity according to intensity of a magnetic field and arranging the magnetic viscous fluid 4 in a variable magnetic field, a sensor part 6 for detecting the load by the load generating means 1, and a control means 5 for controlling the load generating means 1 according to output of the sensor part 6. The high speed response and high output can be attained by using the magnetic viscous fluid (an MR fluid) large in a viscosity change to the intensity of the magnetic field in a magnetic fluid.
